TEACHING METHODOLOGY

  • Communication skills such as group dynamics, time management, and the establishment of priorities and boundaries
  • How to address the specific needs of individuals and special populations, to the degree possible in a group setting

EMBODIED ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY

  • embodied human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.)
  • energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.).
  • application to your Embodied Flow™ yoga practice

EMBODIED YOGA PHILOSOPHY, LIFESTYLE & ETHICS

  • The study of yoga philosophies and traditional texts (such as the Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika or Bhagavad Gita)
  • Tantric Yoga Philosophy in the lineage of Kashmir Shaivism
  • Ethics for yoga teachers, such as those involving teacher – student relationships and community
  • Understanding the value of teaching yoga as a service and being of service to others

PRACTICUM

  • Practice teaching as the lead instructor
  • Receiving and giving feedback
  • Observing others teaching
  • Assisting students while someone else is teaching

ITINERARY

The depth of a teacher training calls us to look inwards and explore the inner terrain of ourselves, resulting in big shifts in our bodies and our perceptions. I believe in offering a schedule that allows space for this process and integration as well as an opportunity to enjoy your surroundings.

6:30 – 7:45am Morning Meditation & Pranayama

7:45 – 8.15am Break

Time To Move:
8.15 – 10:30am Embodied Flow™ Asana Practice

Time To Nurture Yourself:
10:30 – 11:30am: Healthy, Wholesome Brunch

Time To Experience, Study And Dive Deeper:
11:30 – 2:00pm: Experiential Lectures & Study Labs

Time To Rest And Enjoy The Beaches:
2:00– 4:00pm: Break & Free Time

Time To Apply:
4:00 – 6.00pm: Teaching Lab

Time to Dine:
7:00pm Dinner

FREE DAYS

During the training we will have a free day once a week for you to go and play as you please. This time is so important for your rejuvenation and integration.

There are so many activities to enjoy on Gili Meno including swimming with turtles, chilling with a coconut on the beach or even island hopping to one of the neighbouring islands. You are free to choose!
